MY STORY

Remember, hate is always foolish, and love is always wise.

Growing up, I was always able to express myself most through my creativeness and what people dub as ‘weirdness’. But, it wasn’t until 2020 that I finally listened to my inner voice and challenged myself to become a blogger, put myself more out there and simply put start living a more authentic life.

I am still full time employed in the FMCG industry and pursuing more passions like my blogging at the same time (after-hours). Covid-19 definitely changed the way the world works. What was important yesterday is no longer important today. What was a hobby once, is now a way to pay your bills and what was once considered to be absolutely bizarre, is now reality.

The world has adapted and changed and so am I.

I always strive to learn and develop in my life, approaching every challenge I come across as an experience to grow and develop in my personal and professional life. I originally come from a small town Belfast, Mpumalanga but have been living the big city life in Johannesburg since 2010. Truly the city of Gold has captured my heart and my journey living here has been absolutely amazing.

I am a part of the LGBT community, I am an avid mental health advocate and I am also plant-based, I have been meat-free since 2013 and have loved the experience to a more kinder way of life.

Tattoos have been a way of expression as well as my different belief system as I am pagan. I also have an out of the regular box kind of way of thinking when it comes to life and why we are here and what is the purpose of it all. In my spare time, I have also taken up some more writing and enjoy creating short stories filled with imagination.

Throw me to the wolves, I will most likely come back leading the pack, being an introvert with extroverted tendencies has been challenging over the years but also been educational in the sense of learning more about who I am by myself and within groups of people.

While I was born in 1989, my life is only beginning now and I for one is super excited to be along for the ride.
